In news that surprised many Chicago White Sox fans, Jerry Reinsdorf fired the front-office duo of Rick Hahn and Kenny Williams on Aug. 22. It was time for change as the White Sox were allegedly in a "competitive window" yet somehow on pace to lose over 100 games.

Since their dismissals, we haven't heard much from Hahn or Williams until now. According to the Chicago Tribune, Williams has listed his three-bedroom condo in Park Tower for $2.95 million.

Williams and his wife Zoraida Sambolin have bought and sold a variety of pieces of real estate in Chicago, Michigan, and Arizona. It's unclear if this listing is a foreshadowing of Williams leaving the area or just another real estate play.

Williams made his MLB debut as a player for the White Sox in 1986 and remained with the team until 1988. After brief stints in Detroit, Toronto, and Montreal, his playing career came to an end in 1991. The following year, Williams joined the Sox scouting department. He eventually became a special assistant to Reinsdorf in 1994 and worked his way up to director of minor-league operations in 1995 and vice president of player development in 1997.

Williams took over as White Sox general manager in 2000 and built the team into a World Series champion in 2005. After reaching the mountaintop, the White Sox unsuccessfully retooled in the following years. Then in true Jerry Reinsdorf fashion, Williams was promoted to executive vice president as Hahn took over the GM role after the 2011 season.

It's almost unfathomable that Williams is no longer a member of the White Sox after his 32-year run with the organization. It will be interesting to see where he and Hahn end up should they continue working in baseball.
