In January, John Wetteland was charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14.

On Thursday, the former World Series MVP was indicted (per Nichole Manna, Fort Worth Star-Telegram).

“A probable cause affidavit says Wetteland is accused of sexually assaulting a child who was known to him between 2004 and 2006,” the initial report from Manna and Jeff Wilson said. “The child was under the age of 10 and the alleged assault happened three times.”

These are obviously very serious charges. If Wetteland is found guilty, he’ll face some serious time in jail.
