The San Francisco Giants placed starting catcher Patrick Bailey on the seven-day concussion injured list Saturday and recalled Blake Sabol from Triple-A Sacramento.

Bailey, 24, took a foul ball to the face mask from the Philadelphia Phillies' Alec Bohm in a game Friday and was replaced by Tom Murphy.

Bailey is batting .278 with three home runs and 10 RBIs in 25 games. In two seasons (122 games) with the Giants, he is batting .242 with 10 home runs and 58 RBIs.

Sabol, 26, played in 110 games as a rookie in 2023 and batted .235 with 13 home runs and 44 RBIs.
