The Reds lost their third spring training game in a row after falling to the Royals 7-3 on Sunday.

It was a spring game headlined by star players such as Frankie Montas, TJ Friedl, Will Benson, and Rhett Lowder.

Here are the good, bad, and ugly from the 7-3 loss:

The Good

Friedl played his best game of the spring so far, finishing 3-for-3 including two doubles, two runs, and a single. Friedl is expected to have a great season for the Reds and be a big part of the Reds' outfield.

Jose Barrero hit the only home run for Cincinnati on the day. He finished 1-for-2 with a walk.

Blake Dunn hit a double and is 4-for-5 this spring. Tony Santillan was the best and most successful pitcher on the day, giving up one hit and finishing with two strikeouts in one inning.

The Bad

The Reds pitching struggled for most of the day. Top prospect Rhett Lowder battled, despite not having his best stuff. He gave up three hits and one run in two innings.

Lowder worked his way out of a tight spot after giving up a double in the seventh inning. He got out of the jam, which is a good sign for the young pitcher.

The Ugly

Frankie Montas struggled, giving up seven hits, two homers and four runs in 2 2/3 innings.

The veteran will look to bounce back in his next start, but he didn't have his best stuff on Sunday.
