Cleveland Guardians vs Detroit Tigers Pick

1u - Triston McKenzie o17.5 Outs (-133) (Bet $133 to win $100)

*Odds available at Caesars at time of publishing*

This guy is in my nightmares. When he plays my Tigers he is Sandy Koufax, Randy Johnson and Pedro Martinez combined into one. In his last 20.2 innings pitched against Detroit (three starts) he has only allowed six total hits and two total runs. This prop is to pitch six complete innings though, in his last two starts against the Tigers he records 23 and 24 outs, we need 18. He hasn’t just been efficient against my favorite team though, he has been good all year.

Cleveland Guardians vs Detroit Tigers Prediction

Triston McKenzie has improved at getting quick outs, he has gone 6+ innings pitched in 11 of his last 12 games! His only miss was against the Twins who hit right-handed pitching significantly better than Detroit. The Tigers hit righties at a .217 clip. This is just an auto bet for me, McKenzie has shown that he can hit this prop pitching through adversity too. He has games where he allows seven runs and still throws six innings, that’s absolutely unheard of

A 11/12 hit rate and facing a team that can't even hit .220 against righties could have been the whole article, to be honest. My top pivot would be his under-hits allowed. Although Elvin Rodriguez is on the mound for Detroit, it’s hard to trust these inconsistent Cleveland bats. If you pivot from this original bet of pitching outs then just make sure you go in the direction of only relying on McKenzie to pitch well. Whether it's under-hits allowed or earned runs I think they’re all good plays and he’s in line for a gem. Fading my team again, let's hope it doesn’t blow up in my face. Let's roll!
