The Houston Astros beat the Minnesota Twins in Game 1 of the American League Division Series on Saturday night.

The final score was 6-4 and Astros closer Ryan Pressly tossed a scoreless ninth for the save - a save which moved him further up the record books.

Per @TalkinBaseball_ on social media:

Ryan Pressly now has the 5th most saves in postseason history!

1) Mariano Rivera, 42

2) Kenley Jansen, 20

3) Brad Lidge, 18

4) Dennis Eckersley, 15

5) Ryan Pressly, 12

The 34-year-old Pressly has been one of the best relievers in baseball over the past six years, which coincides with his Astros' tenure.

Since being traded from the Twins in 2018, Pressly has gone 16-17 with a 2.67 ERA. He's converted 107 saves and has helped the Astros appear in three separate World Series, winning in 2022.

For his career, he's 33-33 with a 3.25 ERA over 11 seasons. He has 108 career saves and owns a playoff ERA of 2.50.

The Astros lost to the Twins on Sunday night to even up the series at 1-1 so Pressly didn't get a chance to move even further up the list.

He'll get another chance on Tuesday afternoon in Minneapolis for Game 3.

First pitch of that game is set for 4:07 p.m. ET as Cristian Javier (HOU) pitches against Sonny Gray (MIN).

Gray already has one win under his belt these playoffs - he was the starter during Game 2 of the AL wild card series against the Blue Jays.
