The Twins clinched the AL Central title with a 8-6 win over the Angels Friday night at Target Field.

Moments after the win, Twins infielder Kyle Farmer promised Twins fans a playoff win telling Bally Sports North's Audra Martin: "We're going to get that first win since 2004. I promise you that."

On the one hand? Don't make promises you can't keep, Kyle. On the other hand ... COME ON LET'S GOOOOOOOO.

The Twins current playoff losing streak sits at 18 games dating back to 2004.

"This team has worked so hard for it and we played so well and ... you know you can't beat these fans tonight, I mean y'all brought it and we're gonna do it again in October so let's do it again!" Farmer continued.

Speaking after the win and a few days after his wife gave birth to Twins, head coach Rocco Baldelli said nights like Friday are what it's all about, and said they're plan is now to bring a championship to Minnesota.

Major League Baseball's playoffs start October 3.
