Back in October, the longtime Hidden Hills, California, home of late Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully was put up for sale. The $15 million listing came two months after he passed away in August at the age of 94.

Scully, who spent 67 seasons calling games for the Dodgers, purchased the estate for $12.4 million in 2009. The French chateau is located in the highly sought-after section of Ashley Ridge, a gated community of Hidden Hills, which is roughly 30 miles from Dodger Stadium.

After less than a month on the market, Scully’s former home sold for $14 million, via Jack Flemming of the L.A. Times:

Vin Scully’s longtime home — a French chateau-style estate in Hidden Hills dubbed “Home Plate” — just sold for $14 million.

Scully’s daughter, Cat, a real estate agent for Compass, helped facilitate the sale and views it as significant part of the family’s life that’s been closed:

Vin’s daughter, Compass agent Cat Scully, handled the sale. She called it bittersweet, adding that “a huge chapter of our family story has come to an end.”

The property spans two acres with over 11,000 square feet of living space. It features a two-story main house with a detached guest apartment, full guest house and six-car garage.

The main house is complete with seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, along with a primary suite balcony. The mansion also includes a plethora of amenities, including a main floor movie theatre, full size tennis court, pool, spa and putting green.

Vin Scully estate gifts donations to Fordham Prep School & Fordham University

Scully, who graduated from Fordham Prep as part of the class of 1944, donated $1 million to his alma mater last month on behalf of his estate.

Scully played baseball for the school’s team and also wrote for their newspaper, “The Rampant.” He was included in the school’s inaugural Hall of Honor class in 1994.

Scully’s estate additionally gave the same amount to Fordham University, where the Manhattan native attended and began his amateur broadcasting career.
