But wait, there's more! Or there's Moore? Really, there's no more Moore. Just minutes after the Angels sent starter , the Guardians added to their shopping cart claiming LHP Matt Moore from the Halos.

ESPN's Kiley McDaniel was the first to report the news.

According to reports, several players the Angels placed on waivers was claimed on Thursday, so more transactions will be trickling in. For Moore, it's an opportunity to join a playoff hunt that quickly escaped for the Halos in August. The Guardians sit just 5 games behind the first place Twins in the American League Central division and are primed to overtake Minnesota in September.

In his lone season in Anaheim, Moore was exceptional boasting a 4-1 record and 2.66 ERA in 41 games. He missed time earlier this season with an oblique injury but has remained one of the club's top workhorses out of the bullpen.

Since transitioning to a relief role last season, Moore has become one of the better left-handed relievers in baseball with a 2.21 ERA over his last 104 games between 2022 and 2023.
