Drake may have just delivered the kiss of death to the Toronto Blue Jays’ chances of landing Shohei Ohtani.

It’s hard to question Drake’s success in the rap game. After all, the man has five Grammy awards to his name.

However, the Canadian artist hasn’t exactly had a great track record when it comes to the world of sports.

Fans have lampooned Drake for years for supposedly placing a curse on any team or athlete he publicly shows support for.

If Blue Jays fans believe in the “Drake Curse,” then they’ll want to look away from the rapper’s recent Instagram story.

The Toronto native posted a snapshot of himself rocking an Ohtani jersey in anticipation of a possible signing with the Canadian ballclub.

The Blue Jays have been considered as one of the front-runners to land Ohtani in free agency. Fans were even tracking a private jet heading to Toronto Friday that they thought had the AL MVP on board and ready to sign a deal. The plane apparently belonged to a different hundred-millionaire bound for Toronto.
