Taking another step in their successful offseason, the Arizona Diamondbacks signed Lourdes Gurriel Jr. to a three-year, $42 million contract.

As Lourdes put it on his Instagram, ‘The

is back!!! with the NLCS champions 2023.’

Last season, Gurriel Jr. attended his first All-Star game as he hit 24 home runs matched with a .261 batting average and .463 OPS.

The Diamondbacks acquired Gurriel Jr. last December. This trade with the Blue Jays also brought Gabriel Moreno over to Arizona.

This trade may already go down as the best deal that the D-backs have made over the past decade.
