Second baseman Kolten Wong is headed to the Seattle Mariners in a trade for outfielder Jesse Winker and third baseman Abraham Toro, who would go to the Milwaukee Brewers in a deal awaiting commissioner approval, per multiple reports.

Wong, 31, is a two-time Gold Glove winner and signed a one-year contract extension at the end of the 2022 season. He hit .251 with 15 home runs, 47 RBIs and 17 stolen bases last season with the Brewers, which was his second in Milwaukee.

Winker has one year remaining before he's eligible for free agency and hit .219 with a .344 on-base percentage with the Mariners in 2022. Winker, 29, hit .288 in his career over five seasons before being acquired from the Cincinnati Reds by the Mariners.

In 10 MLB seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals and Brewers, Wong has a .261 batting average with 82 home runs and 117 stolen bases.

Toro, 25, was once regarded as a top prospect with the Houston Astros. A utility infielder, he hit .206 in four MLB seasons split between the AL West clubs.
