For the better part of the 2022 season, the New York Mets have held the lead in the National League East division, and have been in position to take home their first division title since 2015.

It certainly has been a successful season for the Mets, who have found a way back to the postseason.

Unfortunately, even in the midst of a great season, they find themselves in a somewhat familiar position, with fans frustrated.

The Mets were swept by the defending World Series champion Atlanta Braves this past weekend.

Now, after leading the NL East for much of the season, the Mets are on the ropes and the Braves are close to wrapping things up.

One Mets analyst took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the state of the team, and let’s just say he did not hold back.

Even when the Mets are having a good season, there is still cause for concern.

They were up in the NL East by as many as 12.5 games earlier this season.

But the Braves have continued to fight and now they find themselves in a position to put the Mets away in the division race and capture their fifth straight NL East title.

The Mets have once again found a way to make their fans nervous at the worst possible time.

The NL East looked to be in their favor.

They held a commanding lead, leading some to concede the race to them.

But the Braves have busted out and have been playing their best baseball.

Now, they’re in a position to clinch the division title, which could happen as soon as tonight.
