Just days after losing closer Edwin Diaz for the season, after the reliever sustained a knee injury celebrating Puerto Rico's win over the Dominican Republic Wednesday night, clinching a trip to the World Baseball Classic quarterfinals, another New York Mets player appears to have sustained an injury.

Mets center fielder Brandon Nimmo limped off the field of Friday evening's spring training game against the Miami Marlins, following an awkward slide into second base.

It appears that Nimmo may have sustained an injury to his right knee.
