MLB remains shut down for the foreseeable future amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but New York Mets star Pete Alonso is staying positive on Easter Sunday.

Finding the silver lining on a day that usually would be huge around MLB, Alonso shared that — due to the suspended season — he’s able to actually celebrate Easter for the first time since high school.

Alonso pointing out that “there are little victories in each day” is something this scribe certainly needed to read this morning. We hope his wise words were able to touch your heart this morning, too.

Stay safe, everyone.
