Mike Zunino is already showing why the Cleveland Guardians brought him in to be their primary catcher last winter. In Cleveland's fourth game of the season, Zunino blasted his first home run in a Guardians uniform.

The two-out, three-run home run came in the bottom of the second inning and gave the Guardians a 3-1 lead at the time. However, the Seattle Mariners came back to take the lead later in the game.

It certainly looked like this was going to be a routine fly ball. However, the ball just kept going and going until it dropped in the bullpen. This just shows how strong Zunino is and the power he has in his swing.

It's no secret why the Guardians chose to sign Zunino rather than bring back Austin Hedges or Luke Maile. They needed some sort of offensive production coming from their backstop which Hedges and Maile couldn't offer.

Zunino missed most of the 2022 season with an injury, but he's only a few seasons removed from hitting 33 three home runs back in 2021.
