Texas Rangers utility player Brad Miller wrapped up his first week of an injury rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday against El Paso.

Miller has been on the Rangers’ 10-day injured list since June 3 after suffering a right oblique strain on May 31. He's eligible to be activated, but the Rangers have not determined when Miller will rejoin the team.

The Rangers opened a three-game series with the White Sox with a 5-2 win Monday.

Miller played left field and batted third for the Express on Sunday, going 1-for-5 at the plate. He struck out three times and left four runners on base.

He has now played five rehab games with the Express and he’s batting .211 with one home run and two RBI. He has four hits in 19 at-bats. He also played three different positions with the Express, including first base and designated hitter.

Miller has been primarily a bench player for the Rangers this season. The 33-year-old is slashing .208/.304/.333/.637 with one home run and six RBI.

He is in the final year of a two-year contract with the Rangers.
