The Milwaukee Brewers were beaten by the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday night 1-0 at Busch Stadium.
The loss dropped Milwaukee to 84-66 on the year while the win moved St. Louis to 67-83. The Brewers still lead the National League Central by 6.0 games and are on the verge of clinching another division title.
Unfortunately, the loss also saw Milwaukee on the wrong side of history as Cardinals' longtime ace Adam Wainwright recorded his 200th career win.

The Brewers failed to get anything going off the right-hander, who went 7.0 innings, allowing four hits and no earned runs. He struck out three in moving to 5-11 on the year with a 7.40 ERA. Lifetime, he's 200-128 with a 3.53 ERA. He's in his 18th major league season.
As for Milwaukee, the loss squandered a great pitching effort from Freddy Peralta. The righty went 6.0 innings, surrendering one run on four hits. He struck out six and is now 12-9 with a 3.71 ERA.
The two teams will play again on Tuesday night in St. Louis. First pitch is set for 7:45 p.m. ET as Trevor Megill (MIL) pitches against Drew Rom (STL).
Megill is 1-0 with a 3.19 ERA while Rom is 1-2 with a 5.96.
