Milwaukee Brewers rookie Blake Perkins joined a very prestigious club on Saturday, becoming the fifth player in franchise history to hit a grand slam for his first career home run.

Sarah Langs of MLB.com put out the impressive list, which was relayed by Brewers reporter Adam McAlvy:

Brewers to hit a grand slam for their first Major League home run (h/t to the sensational @SlangsOnSports)

6/3/23 Blake Perkins

4/3/23 Brice Turang

7/4/11 Shaun Marcum

5/3/97 Tim Unroe

4/17/89 Bill Spiers

Ironically enough, Perkins' grand slam comes exactly two months after Turang did it.

Perkins' grand slam came in the top of the third inning off of Reds righty Graham Ashcraft. That made the score 9-1 at the time.

At the time of this posting, Milwaukee leads 10-3.

Perkins is 2-3 with two runs scored and five RBI. He's now hitting .200 on the year through just 15 at-bats.

A second-round pick of the Washington Nationals in 2015, he made his major league debut on April 19.

He is not listed in the Brewers' top 30 prospects, per MLB.com rankings.

Assuming the Brewers go onto win this game, they'll move to 31-27 while the Reds would fall to 26-32.

Entering play on Saturday, the Brewers were 0.5 games up on the Pirates in the National League Central. The Pirates currently losing to the St. Louis Cardinals, 1-0.

The Brewers will play the Reds again on Sunday afternoon at 1:40 p.m. ET. Adrian Houser pitches for Milwaukee while Ben Lively pitches for Cincy.
