Milwaukee is interested in hosting the WWE Royal Rumble at some point in the future.
A.J. Bayatpour of CBS 58 reports that city and state officials hope to host the premium live event at American Family Field, as”Milwaukee leaders” have been in talks with WWE about the possibility. The report notes that their goal is to have the field, the home of the Milwaukee Brewers, host Royal Rumble once it has been winterized.
Bayatpour cites a source who stated that city and state representatives met with WWE officials in Philadelphia over WrestleMania weekend. The report also notes that Milwaukee has interest in SummerSlam as well.
Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson took to social media and highlighted the revenue in American Family Field. He wrote that he would not be surprised if WWE found interest there.

Bayatpour also cites Jeff Fleming, a spokesman for the mayor’s office, who notes that Johnson was not part of the meeting in Philadelphia. However, Johnson has had talks with WWE before. The report notes that American Family Field is set to be winterized following the 2025 baseball season. This means that Royal Rumble would potentially be able to come to Milwaukee.
Additionally, Bayatpour cites VISIT Milwaukee President Peggy Williams-Smith, who said that the city would “love to welcome WWE’s Royal Rumble to Milwaukee in a future year.”
Furthermore, Bayatpour includes a quote from Tyler Barnes, a spokesperson for the Milwaukee Brewers. In a statement, he said that American Family Field would be able to host various events once it has been winterized.
“American Family Field has successfully hosted many high-profile events, from Brewers baseball to concerts and other sports,” Barnes said. “We are always looking to diversify and bring new, significant events to the facility. This opportunity would certainly qualify.”
Royal Rumble 2024 emanated from Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. The 2025 location has not been confirmed as of this writing.
