Although no deals are imminent, the Minnesota Twins continue to listen to trade offers on a pair of veteran sluggers.

Per Jon Morosi of MLB Network:

The Twins are listening to trade offers on both Max Kepler and Jorge Polanco. No deal is close. Their markets should clarify as free agents Hoskins, Turner, and Martínez sign. Minnesota is looking at rotation help in return following departures of Gray, Maeda.

Now, this isn't groundbreaking stuff. We've heard for weeks that both players are on the market. The Twins are looking to shed payroll this offseason and getting rid of one or both of these players would help them do it, while also bringing back a young and cheap prospect or two.

The 30-year-old Kepler hit 24 homers for the Twins this season while also hitting .260. He has spent nine years in Minnesota and has been a highly productive player most years. He popped 36 home runs in the 2019 season and is a lifetime .236 hitter. His contract for next year is for $10 million.

As for Polanco, he has spent 10 years in the big leagues, all with the Twins. He made the All-Star team back in 2019 and is a career .269 hitter. Polanco's contract is for $10.5 million. He has an addition club option heading into the 2025 season as well.

The Twins won the American League Central this past season and won a playoff series against the Toronto Blue Jays but the financial restrictions are limiting them from making any positive moves in free agency to this point.

We'll see if they actually are willing to make a move on either Polanco or Kepler.
