MLB HR props for Friday 9/15: Pounce on big price for Jose Altuve homer

Boom! We cashed another +430 ticket on Thursday night thanks to Corey Seager's first-inning bomb, and we're back for more winners. Let's end the week strong with my three favorite home run prop bets for Friday's MLB slate. 

Matt Olson (+285 FanDuel)

I don't love dipping below +300 for home run bets, but I can make an exception for the home run king of 2023. Matt Olson leads MLB with 51 dingers this season, and he's been on fire of late with eight homers and a 1.401 OPS over his last 49 at-bats. In nine career ABs against Miami Marlins starter Johnny Cueto, Olson's only two hits were both home runs. It's a short price, sure, but I don't think it's short enough.

Jose Altuve (+600 DraftKings)

Speaking of mispriced lines, I'd like to welcome Jose Altuve to the column. The Houston Astros second baseman has six home runs in his last 11 games played, and he's staring down a friendly matchup on Friday night. In 28 career at-bats against Kansas City Royals starter Zack Greinke, Altuve is batting .357 and slugging .571 with one homer. This price is +450 at FanDuel, so we'll take the extra value on +600.

Thairo Estrada (+650 DK)

We tried to take Estrada to go yard on Thursday night, but the game between the San Francisco Giants and Colorado Rockies was postponed due to rain. With the same starters scheduled to go on Friday night, let's run it back. Rockies starter Chase Anderson has given up 17 home runs in 16 starts this year, and he's surrendered multiple homers in a game on six different occasions. Estrada has taken the right-hander deep two times already in just five career at-bats against him, and the friendly conditions at Coors Field will only help our cause.
