MLB HR props for Wednesday 8/23: Back Vlad and you'll be glad

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+500 DraftKings)

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is in the midst of a major power slump, as he's cracked only one home run in his last 25 games. That cold streak has created a juicy price for his home run prop, and I think it's time to pounce with a strong matchup on deck. In 22 career at-bats against Baltimore Orioles starter Dean Kremer, Guerero is batting .318 with four homers. This feels like the perfect time for Vladdy to break out of his home run slump.

James Outman (+470 FanDuel)

Wednesday night's matchup between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Cleveland Guardians looks to be a home run paradise. The wind will be blowing straight out to center field at Progressive Field, creating a projected 29 percent boost to homers (Ballpark Pal). Dodgers outfielder James Outman has hit 14 of his 15 dingers this season off right-handed pitching, so let's ride the hefty price with righty Xzavion Curry taking the mound for Cleveland.

Harrison Bader (+560 FD)

I have no problem fading Washington Nationals starter MacKenzie Gore, who's given up four home runs over his last three starts. Let's roll with Harrison Bader, who's been the New York Yankees' best hitter against left-handed pitching all year. Bader leads the Yankees in batting average (.368), OPS (1.157), and RBIs (15) against lefties, and he ranks second on the team with four home runs off southpaws. Give me the lefty specialist here.
