Back in 2019, Nike signed a deal with the MLB to add their signature checkmark logo onto all jerseys around the league. Despite some fan outrage at the beginning, the swoop began to grow on many. Now, the Phillies will be getting an even sweeter end of this deal with the league.

Nike recently announced that they will be designing a new SB pack called the “Bubblegum pack” later this year. Apart of this, the Phillies will be getting their own shoe called the “Phillies” SB Dunk Lows.

The Phillies Design

As you can see from the pictures in the Tweet above, Nike focused on the “bubblegum” look by making the primary color the Phillies’ throwback powder blue color. Maroon adds some nice contrast to the Nike check across the middle of the shoe. The laces are also light blue, but Nike is reportedly providing both maroon and white laces to help the shoe pop as well.

Breaking up the look is a white midsole and a gum outsole with a pink bubblegum-inspired detail at the heel. Along with this, some classic Philadelphia staples find themselves on the inside part of the tongue. A cheesesteak will be on the one, with the liberty bell on the other.

As of now, there is no specific release date for these shoes. However, Nike has announced that they will come out in “Summer 2022,” alongside the Nike SB Dunk High “New York Mets” as well. The price is projected to be $100 retail when they are released.
