The Los Angeles Dodgers have seen a ton of pitchers come through the organization over the years. Some have found success, while others have been tough to manage.

Typically, Los Angeles has been able to help guys find their rhythm, especially if they were brought in as reclamation projects. However, last season the Dodgers couldn't work their magic on former starter Noah Syndergaard.

Syndergaard was brought in to help give the Dodgers rotation some needed depth, but he failed miserably during his tenure. Los Angeles eventually traded him to the Cleveland Guardians in exchange for Amed Rosario.

Now, another NL West squad may be interested in landing the former All-Star starter. According to Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune, the San Diego Padres have interest in potentially adding Syndergaard to the mix.

"Signing one of the journeyman starters in which they have shown interest — such as Michael Lorenzen or Noah Syndergaard — could help fill the gap."

Per Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune

This isn't the first time that the Padres have been linked with Syndergaard this winter, but with the season inching closer, maybe something will come to fruition. He is coming off his worst season as a professional, but San Diego may believe they can work with him.

He posted an ERA of 7.16 with the Dodgers over 12 games played and an ERA of 5.40 over six starts with the Guardians. It was a wildly inconsistent year for the veteran, and his career has been in doubt.

Syndergaard could provide San Diego with another experienced arm for their rotation, and on a one-year deal, they'd had nothing to lose. Maybe we'll see Syndergaard take the mound for the Padres this season, which would be of amusement for the fans.
