No. 2 pick Druw Jones injures shoulder days after signing with Diamondbacks

The Arizona Diamondbacks got some bad news as their top draft pick this year could be done for the rest of the season.

Druw Jones, who Arizona selected with the No. 2 overall pick, injured his shoulder in his first workout with the team. This is the second year in a row that the Diamondbacks' top draft pick has been injured shortly after being drafted.

It isn't clear yet if Jones will require surgery. If he does, it will definitely shut him down for the rest of the season.  The 18-year-old had agreed to terms with the Diamondbacks just a couple of days prior.

Jones gained national attention earlier this year when a video of him hitting a home run while being heckled by the crowd went viral.

Druw is the son of former MLB centerfielder Andruw Jones, who most notably played for the Atlanta Braves.
