Right fielder Mookie Betts and left-hander David Price rejoined the Los Angeles Dodgers ahead of Sunday's series finale with the visiting San Diego Padres.

Betts, 29, returns from the 10-day injured list after missing 15 games with a right rib fracture. The five-time All-Star is hitting .273 with 17 homers and 40 RBIs in 60 games this season. He was back in the leadoff spot Sunday as the Dodgers set out for a four-game series sweep.

Price, 36, missed three games on the family medical emergency list. The five-time All-Star has no decisions and a 3.20 ERA in 19 relief appearances this season.

To make room on the 26-man roster, the Dodgers designated right-hander Ian Gibaut for assignment and optioned infielder Eddy Alvarez to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Gibaut, 28, was claimed off waivers from the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday but did not appear in any games for Los Angeles.

Alvarez, 32, appeared in 14 games with the Dodgers and batted .160 with three RBIs.
