The White Sox opened up the spring season today against the Padres at Camelback Ranch. Although the club lost 6-2, Lance Lynn pitched well, allowing just one run over his three innings of work. Additionally, Gavin Sheets and Jake Burger homered in the effort.

Lynn started off a bit shaky, allowing three straight base hits to open the game. After that first inning, however, Lynn settled down and found his grove. Looking like his usual self, he punched out four hitters in his spring debut and allowed zero walks. Kendall Graveman came in and worked one inning where he punched out two batters while allowing one run. Jose Ruiz also threw an inning today and struck out one batter as well.

Gavin Sheets opened the spring with a solo homer, and Jake Burger also added to the score with a homer late in the ninth inning. As for the rest of the offense, Yoan Moncada worked two walks, Tim Anderson went 0-for-2, and Luis Robert hit a double down the left-field line for his only hit of the day. Eloy Jimenez also went 1-for-2 with a base hit.
