The All-Star break is over and the second half is set to begin on Friday.

As far as the San Diego Padres are concerned, they're on a much-needed run, having won six of their last eight games, and are going to try to keep up their winning ways when they play four in Philadelphia against the Phillies.

Along with their play on the field, there's a collection of Padres that are either on the injured list or trying to regain their form after recent returns.

You can read below for your latest Padres injury updates:

P Robert Suarez

The Padres reliever hasn't pitched in the majors this season, as he's on the 60-day IL with right elbow inflammation.

He's starting to work his way back, but is looking at a potentially long rehab assignment. He last pitched in the Arizona Complex League on July 7 and he's slated to pitch for the Lake Elsinore Storm -- San Diego's Low-A affiliate -- soon, per Padres manager Bob Melvin. As of now, he's projected to be back in late July.

P Drew Pomeranz

It's been an injury-filled year-and-a-half for the Padres lefty, who missed the 2022 season after undergoing left flexor tendon surgery.

His rehab was going well until he experienced a setback in late May, and he underwent a "cleanup" operation as Melvin termed it. As of now, there's no firm timeline for a return, but the team hopes he can be back late in the season.

IF Ha-Seong Kim

Kim avoided the injured list after kicking a water cooler in frustration before the All-Star break, and he returned to the lineup last Sunday. It doesn't appear that he'll have to miss any more time because of his jammed big toe, and right now it looks as if all systems are a go for the middle infielder.

P Michael Wacha

Wacha's season was off to a great start, and he was expected to play a significant role for the Padres this year.

He still very well could, but he's currently on the 15-day IL with right shoulder inflammation.

The team's approach right now is to give Wacha's shoulder time to recuperate, and there's not expected to be long-term issues with it.

The current timeline for a return is late July or early August, so they shouldn't be without him for too long.

C Luis Campusano

The Padres catcher should make his return very soon. He's been on the 15-day IL with a sprained left thumb, but after catching in the Arizona Complex League, he figures to be back with the Padres not long after their second half of the season begins this weekend.
