The San Diego Padres dropped their second consecutive game to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday afternoon at Camelback Ranch by a score of 4-1.

Starting pitcher Jhony Brito gave up a solo home run to Freddie Freeman on the second pitch of the game to give the Dodgers an early 1-0 lead. He gave up two earned runs on three hits in two innings of work.

With a lineup that included most non-roster invitees and other minor-league hopefuls, the Padres struggled to produce offensively. Cal Mitchell's RBI single in the top of the third cut the Dodgers’ lead to 2-1 but San Diego struggled to find holes.

Jakob Marsee and Mason McCoy had the other two hits for the Padres.

Matt Waldron was a bright spot for San Diego pitching. He gave up two hits in two innings but the most impressive part of his day was only needing seven pitches to get six outs.

Here are a few highlights for the Padres:

The good news for the Padres is that they don't have to face their division rival until they open the regular season in Seoul, South Korea.

Up next for San Diego is Milwaukee on Saturday at the Peoria Sports Complex at 12:10 p.m. PT
