Pedro Strop did not hold back when talking about Yasiel Puig following Saturday’s game that featured an incident between the two players.

During the bottom of the eighth inning of the Chicago Cubs’ 6-0 win over the Cincinnati Reds, Strop hit Puig in the leg with a 3-0 pitch. Naturally, tempers flared and both dugouts emptied.

While Puig was furious after getting plunked, Strop didn’t stop with just throwing a baseball at the Reds outfielder. Strop delivered a verbal jab after game, calling Puig “stupid as f—” and repeatedly calling him stupid for threatening to come out to the mound but not actually acting on the threat.

Puig has gained a reputation during his career as someone who isn’t particularly liked by opposing teams. That was clearly the case on Saturday as Strop’s throwing at Puig’s leg appeared to be intentional.
