Philadelphia Phillies right fielder Nick Castellanos went yard against the Minnesota Twins on Saturday, but his home run isn't what got people's attention.

Castellanos led off the second inning with a no-doubter to left field, tying the game at 1-1. He then pulled off a smooth move by dropping his bat in the box before trotting around the bases.

Liam Castellanos, Nick's 10-year-old son, was tasked with cleaning up after his dad, considering he was serving as the Phillies' bat boy Saturday.

But instead of doing his job, the younger Castellanos watched as his dad's homer sailed over the fence.

Castellanos got back to home plate and his bat was still laying on the ground, so he motioned for his son to rush out and grab it. Realizing he was late, Liam scurried out onto the field to collect his dad's bat before second baseman Bryson Stott stepped up to the plate.

This wasn't the first time Castellanos and his son have gone viral after a home run, either.

Last July, Liam was sitting behind home plate during a game against the Milwaukee Brewers. Castellanos crushed one to left, pointed to his son as he started to round the bases, then stopped by for a handshake on his way back to the dugout.

Castellanos enjoyed a bounce back year in 2023, improving upon his lackluster 2022 numbers in virtually every category. The slugger ended the year with 29 home runs, 106 RBI, 11 stolen bases, a .272 batting average, a .788 OPS and a 1.5 WAR in 157 games.

The soon-to-be 32-year-old has made two All-Star Games and won one Silver Slugger in his big league career.
