Philadelphia Phillies prospect Justin Crawford was named the Florida State League Player of the Week on Monday.

Crawford, 19, is the No. 4 overall prospect in the Phillies’ organization per MLB.com.

He had a huge week for the Threshers, which saw him pull his season average up from .317 to .341 during the week-long series with Dunedin.

He started the week on Wednesday as he went 3-for-5 with two doubles and drove in a run.

In the Thursday contest he drove in three runs as he went 4-for-4 with a double and a triple.

In Friday’s game he went 1-for-4 and scored a run. Then, in the finale on Sunday he went 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored.

In just four games, Crawford went 10-for-17, drove in four runs and scored seven runs. He also had three doubles and two triples.

Entering this week’s action he’s slashing .341/.403/.442/.845 with eight doubles, three triples and 24 RBI. He’s also scored 28 runs. He’s batting 100 points better than a season ago, when he played just 16 games in the Florida Complex League and with Clearwater.

Crawford was the Phillies’ first-round pick last July, taken No. 17 overall out of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nev. He is the son of former Major League outfielder Carl Crawford.
