Three Philadelphia Phillies received pre-arbitration bonuses based on their play for the 2023 season, per Major League Baseball.

Bryson Stott, Brandon Marsh and Cristopher Sánchez came away with extra money based on a WAR formula.

Stott came away with the highest bonus, as he will get $628,380. Stott batted .280 with 15 home runs and 62 RBI in his second MLB season as the Phillies reached the NL Championship Series. He was also a threat on the basepaths with 31 stolen bases, a big jump from his rookie season.

Marsh, an outfielder, snagged a $530,749 bonus. In 2023, in spite of an injury that kept him out a few weeks, he batted .277 with 12 home runs and 60 RBI. He also had 25 doubles and six triples.

Sánchez put together a solid season in his first full season as a Major League starter. He went 3-5 with a 3.44 ERA in 19 games (18 starts) with 96 strikeouts in 99 innings.

Payments from a $50 million pool went to 101 players who didn’t have the service time for salary arbitration for 2022, which was two years, 228 days.

Players can receive bonus money for at least one award per season, with the rest of the money dispersed based on a WAR formula.

Those awards include $2.5 million for winning a MVP or Cy Young Award; $1.75 million for second in the voting; $1.5 million for third; $1 million for fourth, fifth or selection to the all-MLB first team; $750,000 for Rookie of the Year; and $500,000 for second in Rookie of the Year voting or all-MLB second team.
