Pirates-Twins game briefly delayed by drone
Those of you who had "MLB game delayed by drone flight" on your 2020 bingo cards may now mark that box.
In a season already unlike any other due to the coronavirus pandemic, Tuesday's game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Minnesota Twins was temporarily paused in the top of the fifth inning after Minnesota players exited the field due to a drone flying over Target Field.
As noted by Do-Hyoung Park of the official MLB website, the delay didn't last for long.
The Twins led 5-1 at the time of the stoppage and then added two runs in the bottom of the frame.
It appears Pittsburgh's Dovydas Neverauskas needs better aim as it concerns hitting aerial targets.
