Justin Crawford was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on January 13, 2004. He played high school baseball at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, NV. He was the top-ranked outfielder and the top-ranked overall player in Nevada. At Bishop Gorman, he hit .500 and had a .555 OBP; he had 108 hits, 22 doubles, 12 triples, six home runs, 64 RBI, 87 runs scored, 25 stolen bases, and 25 walks. Crawford was ranked the third-ranked outfielder in the country and the 11th overall player. He committed to play college baseball at Louisiana State University.

Crawford started with Single-A Clearwater and also appeared for High-A Jersey Shore, playing in 87 games across the two levels; he slashed .332/.392/.467 with a .859 OPS; he had 22 doubles, eight triples, three home runs, 64 RBI, 71 runs scored, 47 stolen bases, and 32 walks. He also played in the Futures Game, going 0-2 with an RBI coming on a sacrifice fly.

ITD ranks Crawford as the 80th overall prospect and the Phillies second ranked prospect. He will likely start the season either at High-A or Double-A.
