Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers will have an MRI on his ailing left knee, manager Alex Cora confirmed Thursday.

The two-time All-Star left Tuesday's win against Cleveland with discomfort and was not in Thursday's lineup versus the Guardians.

Devers went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in Tuesday's 2-0 victory and is batting just .188 with two homers and five RBIs through 13 games this season.

Devers, 27, is a career .279 hitter with 174 home runs and 560 RBIs in 855 games since making his debut with the Red Sox in 2017.

Boston also placed outfielder Tyler O'Neill on the 7-day concussion injured list on Thursday. He collided with Devers and sustained a laceration to his forehead in Monday's 6-0 loss to the Guardians.

O'Neill, 28, is batting .313 with seven home runs and eight RBIs through 15 games. He entered Thursday's action leading the majors in slugging (.750) and OPS (1.209).

The Red Sox reinstated outfielder Rob Refsnyder, 33, from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Refsnyder missed the first 19 games of the season while recovering from a fractured toe in spring training.
