An impressive season in the minor leagues should be exciting news for Boston Red Sox management and fans, but it might not mean as much for this first baseman.

Bobby Dalbec has been in and out of the major leagues over the last few seasons and has most recently been playing for Triple-A Worcester -- which is not ideal for the 28-year-old.

Dalbec is hitting .289 with 13 extra-base hits including 30 home runs, 64 RBIs and a 1.012 OPS across 87 games for the WooSox.

Although he's been having an impressive run in Worcester, he may not be developing as his stats would suggest. Dalbec has a 39% strikeout rate in the minors this season. While it's encouraging to see that the first baseman has the second-most home runs across the entirety of the minor leagues, he also ranks No. 9 in strikeouts at the Triple-A level. He likely won't be a fit for the Red Sox due to his high strikeout rate, but he could help the organization in other ways.

While Dalbec certainly is a flawed former prospect, he also has significantly increased his trade value and could be put in a trade package this offseason to bolster the big-league roster.
