Report: Former star P Matt Harvey may try to resurrect career in Korea

Former New York Mets ace Matt Harvey still doesn't have an MLB home amid the coronavirus pandemic after the Toronto Blue Jays passed on signing him earlier this year.

The man once known as "The Dark Knight" may travel overseas to resurrect his career.

On Friday, Korea Baseball Organization insider Daniel Kim tweeted that South Korea outlet SBS reported Harvey's camp reached out to the KBO about any available opportunities.

Dan Martin of the New York Post confirmed that report and added that KBO clubs can have up to three foreign players on squads, only two of which can be pitchers.

The 31-year-old one-time All-Star possessed Cy Young talent during his best days with the Mets, but he's never been the same since Game 5 of the 2015 World Series.

Harvey, who missed the 2014 campaign after he underwent Tommy John surgery, helped the Mets win the '15 pennant, but thoracic outlet syndrome halted his momentum the subsequent season. New York traded Harvey to the Cincinnati Reds in May 2018, and he signed with the Los Angeles Angels for the 2019 campaign.

He tallied a 3-5 record with a 7.09 ERA in 12 appearances with the Angels.
