Report: Hunter Dozier, Royals finalizing four-year extension

After four solid seasons with the Kansas City Royals, Hunter Dozier isn't going anywhere.

According to FanSided's Robert Murray, the Royals are finalizing a four-year deal with the third baseman. The deal includes a club option.

During the pandemic-shortened season, Dozier hit .228/.344/.392 with six home runs and 12 RBI. He had his best season in 2019, slashing 279/.348/.522 with a career-high 26 homers and 84 RBI.

The Royals have been busy this offseason after a disappointing 2020 campaign. Kansas City has signed Carlos Santana and Mike Minor to multiyear deals and also acquired Andrew Benintendi from the Boston Red Sox.
