The Houston Astros have some good news ahead of their clash with the Texas Rangers on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball.

According to MLB.com, starting pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. is coming along well in his rehabilitation process after suffering a forearm strain in Spring Training.

"McCullers threw long toss today and his throwing program is going well and ahead of schedule," wrote McTaggart. "His next step is mixing in offspeed pitches in with mound work before the end of the month, if all continues to go well."

Getting McCullers Jr. back would be a huge boost to Houston's rotation, especially with the struggles Luis Garcia has been experiencing.

McTaggart also gave other injury updates as well.

Chas McCormick will not be in the lineup today and is doing about the same as he was.

Meanwhile, Michael Brantley is taking live BP in Florida as he works his way back to the team.
