Report: Monday's Cardinals-Pirates game postponed

The St. Louis Cardinals' coronavirus situation just keeps getting worse.

According to ESPN's Jeff Passan, the Pittsburgh Pirates' flight to St. Louis has been canceled, and their Monday game against the Cardinals has been postponed.

Both teams will have a better idea on Sunday if they'll play on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Cards' three-game series against the Chicago Cubs this weekend was postponed after two more St. Louis players and one staff member tested positive for the coronavirus.

In total, nine players and seven staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 since last week.

The Miami Marlins, who had 21 members of their organization test positive for the virus, returned to action on Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles. Similarly, the Philadelphia Phillies, who had three staff members test positive, returned to the field on Monday against the New York Yankees.

The Cardinals have not played since July 29, which was a 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Twins.
