The Cleveland Guardians are in agreement on a one-year deal worth $4 million with journeyman catcher Austin Hedges, MLB Network and the New York Post reported.

The club on Sunday also traded catcher Christian Bethancourt to the Miami Marlins for cash considerations, per the reports.

Hedges, 31, is a career .189 hitter with 67 home runs and 223 RBIs for four teams, including the San Diego Padres (2015-20). He previously was with the Guardians from 2020-22.

The Guardians claimed Bethancourt off waivers early last month. He played the past two seasons with Tampa Bay and is a career .231 hitter with 30 HRs and 113 RBIs in 365 games with four teams.
