Sam Hilliard was cleared for a rehab assignment after spending time on the IL with an injured heel, and according to Justin Toscano of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the injury has been re-aggravated. He will remain on the Injured List.

Heel injuries oftentimes can be the type of issue that can linger. Hopefully, Hilliard can work his way back to action this season. In his absence, the Braves will continue to ride with the speedy Forrest Wall, who may be a better option for a potential postseason roster anyways because of his ability as a pinch-runner.
