San Francisco Giants closer Camilo Doval got the win on Tuesday night in the All-Star Game, helping the National League to its first victory since 2012.

The NL won, 3-2, thanks to a home run from Colorado Rockies catcher Elias Diaz. Diaz was named the MVP but Doval did get win on the mound, tossing a scoreless inning of relief in which he allowed one hit and struck out one.

It was a dominant pitching performance on the whole for the National League squad, who trotted out nine different pitchers in the win. The visitors struck out eight American League batters.

By getting the win, Doval became the first Giants pitcher since Matt Cain in 2012 to get a win in the All-Star Game. He also joined a more extensive list of Giants pitchers to get the win in the Midsummer Classic.

Per Sarah Langs of MLB.com on Twitter:
