The San Francisco Giants beat the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday night by a score of 11-3. It was an impressive win for the Giants, who moved to 35-32 on the year.

It was also a great moment for Giants rookie pitcher Keaton Winn, who got the save, and made some team history while doing it.

Per Sarah Langs of MLB.com on Twitter:

Keaton Winn is the 1st Giants pitcher to record a save in his MLB debut since saves became official in 1969

Winn didn't get the save because the game was close, but rather because he threw the final four innings, which also qualifies him. He surrendered one hit, one run, walked three and struck out two.

The 25-year-old was selected in the fifth round of the 2018 draft out of Iowa Western Community College.

While that was a good story, it wasn't all good for the Giants on Tuesday as outfielder Mitch Haniger suffered a fractured forearm and was placed on the injured list.

It's another frustrating setback for Haniger, who was signed this offseason after an injury-riddled tender with the Seattle Mariners.

At the moment, there's no timetable on his recovery. The following update came from the Rotowire fantasy baseball portal:

The fracture occurred after Haniger was plunked in the forearm by an offering from Jack Flaherty. Luis Matos is expected to replace Haniger on the roster with the outfielder assuredly heading to the injured list prior to Wednesday's game against St. Louis. How long Haniger will be out will likely be determined by his rehabilitation route, and more information should be provided by the Giants in the coming days.

The Giants will play the Cardinals on Wednesday at 1:15 p.m. ET.
