The Seattle Mariners beat the Cincinnati Reds in Cactus League play yesterday 7-6. Today they have two different split squad games being played one against the Milwaukee Brewers and the other against the Arizona Diamondbacks. After today the Mariners have four spring games remaining before the kickoff of the regular season against the Boston Red Sox. The Mariners are looking for bodies to finish out the spring with the four games remaining ahead of Opening day, they will need camp bodies to use in games to allow some downtime leading into the regular season.

LHP – Ben Onyshko

Onyshko was assigned to the Mariners roster today as they prepared for their split-squad games in Cactus League play. Last season he pitched for the Arkansas Travelers in Double AA. He appeared in 27 games, making three starts with a 1-1 record. He pitched 48.1 innings, walked 21, struck out 45, a 5.21 ERA, and a 1.39 WHIP on the year.

OF – Jared Oliva

Oliva was assigned as well to the Mariners roster today. Last season Oliva played for the Triple-A Salt Lake Bees within the Los Angeles Angels minor league system. He played in 92 games, scored 48 runs, 12 doubles, five triples, eight home runs, 37 RBIs, 31 walks, 16 steals, and slashed .261/.348/.423 with a .771 OPS.

C – Jacob Sharp

Sharp was assigned to the Mariners roster today like the others. He spent last season playing for the Mariners Arizona Complex League team. He played in 11 games, scored three runs, four RBIs, three walks, one steal, and slashed .143/.250/.143 with a .393 OPS.
