Once again, as the Houston Astros make yet another deep run into October, one of the constants from each run since 2017, Alex Bregman, has been red-hot.
The 28-year-old slugger has given the Astros yet another postseason to remember, hitting .316 with three home runs and nine RBI this October.
And when Bregman gets a chance to hit in the postseason, he tends to do his best work against pitchers who have been All-Stars at one point or another during their careers.
On Twitter, Astros insider Mark Berman posted a list of players with the most home runs in postseason history against All-Star pitchers.
Bregman is tied for fourth on the list with 13, sharing the position with Jim Thome and Derek Jeter.

Also on the list are David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez, and Bernie Williams.
Only two of Bregman’s 15 career postseason homers have come against pitchers who have never been All-Stars, proving that Bregman does his best work when he’s facing the best in the business.
Bregman hit a two-run home run off of Zack Wheeler in the fifth inning in Game 2 of the World Series against the Philadelphia Phillies, which helped Houston extend their lead to 5-0.
As the series heads to Philadelphia even at a game apiece, the Astros will ride Bregman’s hot bat into Game 3 tonight, with a chance to take a 2-1 lead in the Fall Classic.
The Astros will be starting Lance McCullers in Game 3, while the Phillies counter with Noah Syndergaard.
The question for the Phillies is whether or not they will be able to contain Bregman.
