While Sunday's final day of the regular season was about playoff races and division titles being wrapped up, it was also about saying goodbye to legends of the sport and legends of organizations.
We saw Adam Wainwright get one last appearance in front of the St. Louis Cardinals fans, Brandon Crawford get the same in front of the San Francisco Giants' faithful and Zack Greinke get a warm send-off from Royals fans.
And maybe nothing was bigger than what was done for Detroit Tigers outgoing legend Miguel Cabrera.
Cabrera started the game at designated hitter, then moved over to his old position (first base), fielded a ground ball and then got pulled from the game in the eighth inning. His family came out and soaked up the moment with him, manager AJ Hinch and his teammates.

One of the most accomplished right-handed hitters in baseball history, Cabrera is a lock for the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He finished this season at .257 with four home runs and 34 RBI. He owned a .675 OPS as injuries over the last few years sapped him of his power.
Lifetime, he's a member of the 3,000-hit club and the 500-home run club. He finishes with 511 career homers and 1,881 RBI. He is a two-time MVP, a Triple Crown winner and a World Series champion (2003).
The Tigers beat the Guardians 5-2 to finish the year at 78-84.
