It’s been more of the same for the Los Angeles Angels.

After starting out with the second-best record in the American League, the Halos plummeted into fourth place in the AL West division, 23.5 games behind the Houston Astros.

They’ve gone through a 14-game losing skid, fired their manager, and continued to collapse as the season progresses.

They are now well out of postseason contention, meaning they have wasted yet another year of Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani.

Rhett Bollinger, the Angels’ MLB.com beat writer, tweeted that the Angels finished the month of July with a .199 batting average, which is another way of saying that hitters went 156-for-782.

The Halos’ Collapse Continues

Things just keep going from bad to worse out in Anaheim.

Nothing has worked for them this season.

While one team in Los Angeles has dominated everybody in the National League, the other just can’t get it going and don’t have any realistic hope of getting it going anytime soon.

Another year of perhaps the two best players in all of baseball has been wasted.

It even got to the point where the Angels were thinking about trading Ohtani.

That’s just how bad things have gotten.

All the hope and promise that surrounded this season for the Halos has completely dissipated.

The offense has been bad, as has the pitching staff and everything else.

It’s been hard for Angels fans to stomach this, but it’s not going to get any better anytime soon.

No, a Rally Monkey won’t save them.

Nothing can at this point.

Just the month of July alone is bad enough when you look at the offensive numbers.

It’s hard to imagine August being any better.
